Maybe

Maybe it's everything I've wanted, hoped for and dreamt of
Maybe it's her
There's something about her that has me saying maybe, just maybe
Maybe it's her beauty that leaves me breathless
Her dark brown eyes, a shrouded mystery waiting to be discovered
Her long black hair, dancing upon the summer breeze
The smile on her face when she glances at me
the look on mine when I stare at her
What is only a seconds moment feels endless and gleaming when you're captivated
Captivated by what we see as beauty, and what we call love
Maybe it's her personality that has me intrigued
The things she says and the way she says it
How she laughs and how she makes me laugh
It's as if time stands still when I'm with her because eternity passes in the moments we share together
Maybe the loneliness and sufferings tied to life are validated by these feelings
That we live not to escape from those, but to experience these
Maybe the girl I write of will one day bring reality to these words of mine so that I can stop writing ambitions and start recording memories
Maybe I'm still wanting, still hoping, still dreaming
Maybe...just Maybe

What I hate about love

I hate that it comes when I least expect it
The straight road I once walked has now become a perplexity of narrow paths
I hate how it messes up my mind
The emotions I once controlled now take control of me
I hate that it doesn't leave my heart
That if my heart is a room then I'm locked outside and you have the key
I hate that it is but an effect and you are the cause
Because it makes me not hate love at all, but only wish I could share it with you

Majesty

Majesty, the greatness that defines God and reveals the distance of mankind from him
Majesty, the very perfection and character of God in human form
Majesty, the crimson rose tarnished and trampled by the likes of men
Majesty, The greatest sacrifice that bridges the gap of his Majesty

Grace

Grace - Favor unmerited and love unconditional
Substance of God, what makes me substantial
It is Grace that reaches down and lifts me up
Grace that took my place and drinks my sin-filled cup
Grace as Jesus Christ who paid the price
Neither one, nor two nor any of us can ever afford
That I stand here not on my own accord
It is Grace that covers me
Grace that watches me leave and sees me return
Grace that grants me the innocence that I can never earn
Grace as forgiveness I can't deny
That my second chance came more than just my second time
Grace relentlessly unrelenting of my soul
Grace that takes me broken and makes me whole
Such Grace demands the very freedom that it gives
Wholehearted devotion for as long as I live
By Grace I walk the narrow path and enter the small gate
Grace that liberates my destiny yet Grace that determines my fate
Grace so beautiful and so divine
Grace to which I belong to and Grace forever mine
By the Grace of God I am what I am
Yet by Grace I will never be the same
Grace on which I stand, imperfect
Because his Grace to me was not without effect
